Now if this (plus the 80 degree weather we are having all week) doesn't lure you down for a Spring visit, I don't know what will?

RaNdOm!

Here are a bunch of random photos of what we have been up to the past month...

VaLeNtInEs DaY!

We had an AMAZING Valentines this year. My friend Kim and I really went to town at the 99 cent store for some heart shaped champagne classes and some decorations! Our purchase of the day was this crown that had little lights on the hearts that would blink on and off - it was awesome. So, of course I thought - how do I better compliment this crown then with a red boa!!!
We had an awesome dinner (take out from our fav sushi place) and then after dinner, our super kind and amazing friend Tom came over and hung out with Lance so Speener and I could go to a movie. It was so fun to get out and go to a movie just the two of us. We saw Juno, and loved it!

Well, of course Lance ended up with mommy's crown - I mean he is the King of the house and of our hearts!!!

We took Lance on a walk down the street to feed the ducks and the ginormous goldfish!

Ok, so I am LOVIN my new stroller - it has been so hard packing around my HUGO stroller everywhere I go - this puppy was $10.99 and is amazing, Lance fits in it great, and it is SO EASY to fold up and lug around, not to mention it rolls great!

The SUPERBOWL came to Glendale, and we had fun checking out the sites. Here are the boys all snuggled up on the love sac watching the big game - the classic moment came when our fox occaisonally turns to Spanish - YES, we watched part of the game en espanol! Oh, and by the way - YEA GIANTS!!! (We were routing for them the whole time - the whole time - as in once we sat down to watch the game and saw who the two teams were that were playing - gotta love the underdog!)

Us with the stadium; went to the free events; raked in some prizes - Spence's win of the day - a pair of Crocs, Katies = a Wilson Volleyball. We also left with waterbottles, footballs, a few t-shirts, tank top, bag, sunscreen, chapstick, necklace, etc etc etc

So I have LOVED living down in AZ with my friend Becca. We have so much fun together. Her boy, Parker, is a doll! He is about 20 months, and he is so sweet to Lance. We tended him the other weekend, and he was so gentle and cute to Lance. He will be such a great older brother one day. Here are the cuties!

Parker even went and got out all of his toys and was so nice when Lance wanted to play on it (*ok, so maybe he is a little too young to play on it, but mom wanted a picture, and Parker was so gentle and helpful).

I got Spence tickets to the FBR PGA golf tournament for Christmas. We Took Lance, and well that was an adventure. He was such a trooper! I am sure people were wondering what on earth we were doing there with a baby (considering this pga tourney is the largest for fan turnout and I would say a large majority of them are completely wasted!) ... oh well, Lance was a trooper! So - maybe we had to quickly slip out of sight when he started fussing when Phil Mickelson was putting, but all the same, he was a champ!

And I just thought this pic was cute of Lance - all bundled up after his shower! I didn't notice he was getting rolls in his arms until this picture!

Family Night Sunset Hike

I love enjoying the beautiful world we live in. We went on a fantastic hike for family night with a bunch of friends. The Petty's shared with us some thoughts on obtaining better balance in our lives. We are so grateful for our cute family, to live in this beautiful state, and to be surrounded by amazing friends.

Pictured: (Giaque's, Petty's, Taggart's, Prices, and Hanny's)

Lance was a big fan of the hike!

Ok, so maybe I wouldn't be totally against pre-arranged marriage - I mean, wouldn't Lance and Elia be a perfect couple? She is a couple years older, but don't they say that girls usually live a bit longer?

Yeah, so for the first time we forgot the binky binks... oh, well we made do!

FIVE STAR SOURCE FURNITURE!!!

Spence's sister and her husband just started an INCREDIBLE furniture company, called Five Star Source. They have amazing, quality furniture for top-notch prices! Check out their website.

(ps - I can attest to the good prices - there is a little basketball chair and ottoman for a little kid, and I saw the same one at the outlets here for alot more!)

(Ok Rachel tagged me BEFORE Christmas and Criscell tagged me last week, so here you go, better late than never!)
A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning. B: Each player answers the questions about themselves. C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

-10 years ago today...

I was 15 years old, a sophomore in high school. I had just left the VL club (as of Jan 1 1998!), I was attending the Valentine's Dance, and hanging with these adorable girls! Yeah, our group of girlfriends my sophomore year was quite large! I was also a sophomore senator and helped plan and decorate for this Valentine's dance!

-5 things on my to-do list today: (Sunday)

1. Not going to church :( - Lance is sick and I don't want him to spread his cold to other kids.
2. Not making dinner - thanks Kim and Sam!
3. Go on a walk and enjoy the 70 degree weather and get Lance some fresh air
4. Talk to my family
5. hmmm... relax, it's the Sabbath!

-I enjoy:

1. Being a mom. It has been amazing so far!
2. Being a wife; I definitely have one amazing husband! This morning he got up with Lance and watched him the whole morning so I could go back to sleep until noon! Since Lance has been sick I hadn't gotten a ton of sleep, and that was so thoughtful of Speener!
3. Talking to my parents - since we live in a different state, I enjoy talking to my mom everyday!
4. Taking pictures - sometimes Spence gets annoyed I take so many pictures, but I just tell him it is my hobby! Then, I like doing projects with my pictures (scrapbooking, collages, videos, etc)
5. And... of course, traveling!

-What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire?

1. Pay off student loans!!!
2. Buy a 2nd car - most likely a truck. We loved our Tundra that we sold when we came to school.
3. Probably buy Lance a cute bedroom set! (We just have a crib in the corner of our 2nd bedroom)
4. Save, invest, and donate to charity.
5. Go on a world cruise! I think it is like 9 months long or something like that and you go all over the world!

-3 of my bad habits:

1. worrying
2. nagging
3. Picking my zits and spence's ingrown hairs! (disgusting, I know!)

-5 places I have lived:

1. Utah
2. Massachusetts
3. California
4. Arizona
5. London, England

-5 jobs that I have had:

1. Sold fruit at the roadside fruit stands - 7 years baby!!! They don't call me corn girl for nothin!
2. Dad's office - The Heart Center - various years, various positions
3. Bella Vita (plastic surgery) - I seriously loved working here - great fun, great people, a great variety of interesting things to do!
4. Marmalade - boutique, gift store; did sells and created different cards and invitations.
5. Staff Care - Staffing Agency for doctor's and pa's.

-5 things people don't know about me:

1. The year Michael Jackson got acquitted, Spence and I dressed up as Michael Jackson and his date (a little boy) for Halloween!
2. This is a little embarrassing... when I went to London on study abroad (yes I was 20) - I didn't even know how to do my own laundry! My mom had always done it for me. My friend Kristy had to teach me. Pathetic, I know! But... don't I have the greatest mom alive! ;)
3. I have always kind of had a baby phobia - I never liked holding them because I thought they were so fragile and I didn't think I was too good at. Well, then Lance was born at only 5 lbs, so I had to get over my fear. I think I did mostly... but still little tiny babies scare me. Lance even scared me when he was a baby... I have felt a lot more comfortable as he has gotten bigger and stronger!
4. Spence and I had a pet turtle, named squirt. One time we forgot to feed him for 10 days, and HE LIVED! Then we were tending his four little boy cousins for a week and we bribed them to be good and if they were we would give them our turtle. Well, we ended up giving it to them, and he died a day later - must have been all of the attention they gave him!
5. I was so nervous to go to Guatemala. I think I was just nervous about going to Central America. I was sick for days before we went. I don't know why - it was honestly AMAZING and Tikal was one of the most AMAZING sites I have ever seen in my life. Next on my list is Maccu Piccu, Peru!

3 people I tag: Erika Hanks, Kelli Brown, Melissa Kiser

Thanks for the idea Jenny!

An End of an Era!

I found this picture today of me and my Nana in her backyard. It definitely hit a soft spot. This past week, their house went into escrow. As many of you know, I (along with several of you) have spent countless hours over at my nana and papa's house throughout the years - living in their pool in the summertime, and just spending time with them year round. I miss my grandparents - I will miss going over to their house on Country Club Drive, and all of the fun times spent there, but I am very grateful that my grandparents lived as long as they did and that I was able to have an incredible relationship with both of them. They are seriously my heroes! Cheers to a fun childhood with incredibly loving grandparents!
