After a four year hiatus...

It has been four long years since we have been skiing, and we realized one thing...
BOY DO WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

We had the most unbelievable day - sunny, warm, and incredible snow. I knew there was something I loved about the snow...

Don't you just love the one-piecer???

The sNoW!

Lance has started loving the snow. Every day he looks out the window and says "snow, snow!"

Here he is exploring the snow in my parents backyard.

We totally lucked out this weekend and were able to stay overnight with our friends in a cabin up on the Solitude ski resort.

Here is our view out the window.

Lance just loved walking around in the snow.

At one point his foot fell down into a snow pothole!

We had so much fun in the snow... but for reals, I am missing the 80 degree weather they are having in Phoenix right now!

Want to get into Gold's Gym for free?

Spence has started to work out at our gym, 24 Hour Fitness, before work in the mornings. The other night we were laying in bed and I asked him where the 24 hour fitness was located in Sugarhouse.

He responded by saying it was next to the Wells Fargo Bank on 2100 South.

To which I responded - you mean, is it by the Gold's Gym? And he said, it is the same building we used to work out in. (rewind 4.5 years, we worked out at this gym and at the time it was Lifestyles 2000, which has since been bought out by Gold's).

I respond by saying, I thought that was a Gold's Gym?

To which Spencer responds "now that you say that, I was wondering why there were Gold's Gym posters all over the wall..."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We both start laughing hysterically as we realize for the past 2 weeks Spencer has been going to the Gold Gym's thinking the whole time it was the 24 Hour Fitness!!!

And the BEST PART - - - nobody noticed. I guess when you go in you take your membership card and scan the bar code against a scanner and it let him in! Maybe all the gyms use the same cards, so any bar code works, who knows? But now you know, you don't need a Gold's Gym specific bar code to get into their gym!

I guess tomorrow Spence will head back to 24 Hour Fitness, but I can't say it didn't cross my mind to cancel our 24 Hour Fitness pass and to send him back to the Gold's for free!

mY MoOsE!

My dad and I like to drive up and around Parley's Canyon and look for deer, elk, moose - you name it. We have been extremely disappointed this year because we haven't seen a ton of animals. My dad is concerned that a lot of them died last year with the harsh winter. So, if you have seen a ton of animals anywhere, let us know!

Anyway, so we were driving up East Canyon a couple of weeks ago with my brother and sister in law, when I yelled out "I think I just saw some ears!" They all thought I was up in the night but after a few u-turns, I finally spotted her!

So, now it is the joke whenever we go and look for animals, my dad calls out "keep your eyes out for ears!"

A year in review

2008 was a really fun year for us. Here is a little recap...

MaRcH - - - We LOVED our DDR!!! (good times with Kim & Sam)

ApRiL - - - Mimi, Kelli and the cousins came to visit

MaY - - - This was a big month; Jess, Linds and the girls came to AZ to visit, we spent a week with Spencer's family in Fresno, CA, and we drove up the Oregon Coast.

(I love this picture because Linds and Taylin can't stop laughing because spence was being funny while taking the picture)

(The lighthouse in the background is the Haceta Head Lighthouse where Spence proposed to me in 2002. That was really special to visit it again with Lance!)

JuNe - - - Moved up to Washington for three month internship

JuLy - - - celebrated Lance's 1st and Spencer's 28th b-day! Spence tried out for American Idol on his 28th b-day and made it past the first round (obviously he didn't make it past round 2 since I am posting pictures!)

AuGuSt - - - Went to Spencer's 10 year HS reunion, our friend Pam came to SLC to visit from NYC and we took her on a tour of the conference center. If you haven't gone on a tour yet, I highly recommend it, it was amazing!

SePtEmBeR - - - Returned back to Arizona, Lance finally started sleeping through the night again (after a three month hiatus), Spencer rocked out at several gigs with his band, and Lance started standing up by himself and taking some steps!

OcToBeR - - - This was a very fun month. We went to the Phoenix Fair, Rocky Point Mexico, and celebrated Halloween by going to a farm with a bunch of friends. We are so grateful for the amazing friends we made in Arizona.

NoVeMbEr - - - Happy Thanksgiving!

DeCeMbEr - - - I was lovin Lance's new Christmas outfit, we packed up for the 9th time since we have been married (can you believe it?) and moved to SLC, Spence graduated from Thunderbird, played his last gig with his band, celebrated Christmas and rang in the New Year!

We are so grateful for the incredible year we had and look forward to an amazing 2009!!!

For all you Bachelor fans...

I guess it's time for an update!

Here goes an update in the life of the Tag Team.

Where did we leave off?

Spence graduated from Thunderbird on December 12, yipee! December 13 we packed up all of our stuff and moved back to SLC. Yes, it's true, we are officially home to Utah. The funny thing - we were open with going anywhere in the world (in terms of Spencer's job) and he ended up accepting a great job in downtown SLC. I wasn't so sure I thought we would ever end up back in Utah, but I can't complain. We are thrilled to be back with family and friends... minus the cold weather, living in California and Arizona definitely had its perks! He started his job on December 17 and so far so good.

(*A side note to our Thunderbird friends - he did get the offer with Flying J, but we didn't feel right about it. We were shocked to hear 1 week after he declined the offer they took out Chapter 11 bankruptcy. You can only imagine our gratitude.)

Well, where did we move? After our bad experience buying a house in California, we were "for sure" not buying a house again! Well, after crunching the numbers, we have decided to look around for a house and so for now our stuff is in a pod somewhere!

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately. The week before Christmas we had two friends come into town. First my BF from my study abroad in London came and stayed with us with her little boy Brennan, and the next night our friends from Provo came and slept over with their baby Spencer.

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at my parents house. Our friend Dale came over and celebrated with us and we were happy to have his company. Christmas was a lot of fun with Lance this year, however he was a bit overwhelmed with all the presents and places we went that day.

Let's see - here are some pictures from the week after Christmas. We went out to dinner with a bunch of T-birds up in Park City, laughed and played with Lance, celebrated Christmas with my brother and his wife when they got into town, and had a girls luncheon.

Here are some pictures from New Years Eve. We went out to a great dinner with some good friends and then to the U game. And what a great game, the Utes beat Gonzaga by 1 point! And the other pictures are what we have been up to since.

So there is a run down on what our little Tag Team has been up to. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Go 2009! Now that we are back in SLC, we would love to hang out!
