My two favorite boys!

Happy 27th Speenie! On Sunday, July 29th Spence celebrated the big 27. We went to church, hung out at the house and then went to Spence's parents house for dinner and games that night. We are so happy that Lance came two weeks early to he could be here to party on daddy's birthday. I am so grateful for Spence - he is the most amazing hubbie and dad in the whole world! I love you babe!

Katie's Feet "Before and After"...

Here are Katie's feet at 34 weeks Pregnant. Nice and plump...





























And here they are now. 12 Days after the birth. No need for an explanation here.

12 days old and doing great!

Katie and Lance are pure champions! Katie gained a total of 30 Lbs during her pregnancy and has already lost 28 Lbs in just 12 days. I guess it is true that breastfeeding is the best work out you could ever get. She is Really looking good. (See the before and after pics of her feet.) This pic is of her at her baby shower only 6 days after giving birth.

Grandpa (Kent, Katie's dad) and JoJo, AKA, Katie's mom came into town for the week and just loved being with their first Grandchild. It was great having them around to share in the fun of that first week of life. We miss having them around.

I think he has a bit of his mother in him for sure.

Papa, (Spencer's dad) and Mimi, (Spencer's mom) live a mile away and love coming to visit Lance when they can. This is Grandchild number three for them. They will hate to see him leave in two weeks to AZ.

Katie and I are moving into our new place in AZ on the tenth of AUG. What great times ahead. We are excited for this new chapter in our lives.

Little Lance Tripp Taggart is Here!

Here he is 5 minutes old just after his first bath..


He weighed 5 lbs 10 onces and was 19 inches long. He was born July 15th 2007 at 7:27 PM.

He was due to arrive on Aug 13th so he was just about a month early!

We got home from Church on Sunday and were just about to change when Katie thought she had peed her pants; But it was the first glimpse of her her water breaking. We called Jane (Spencer's Mom) and then Kent, (Katie's dad) to see what we should do and Kent told us to go to the Hospital right away. I threw some clothes together for Katie and then gave her a blessing before we left. When she stood up from the blessing it was almost like someone had turned on the faucet between her legs. The whole way to the hospital she was like a water hose. We were just laughing all the way there. We thought it was so funny, she lost at least a gallon of water. She drenched the carpet, the car, the kitchen, the hospital parking lot and several towels.

We got to the Hospital at about 2:15, Katie got the epidural at about 3:40 and he came into the world at 7:27. (She didn't have any labor pains or contractions until after we got to the Hospital. She was such a champ!)

Now we are home and had a great night last night with our little guy. We can't wait to get to know little Lance.

Pregnant woman at Pebble Beach

We have had a great week! Spencer took the GMAT and did better than he needed to be fully accepted at Thunderbird, so we are headed down there in about a month..... I think that school starts around the 26th of Aug. We also went up to Carmel, Monterey, and Pebble beach with another couple this Saturday. It was great to get out of the heat and day dream about one day owning one of the 60 million dollar homes. Spencer got to play Pebble Beach last year and had a blast.


One thing we will miss about Fresno is that in about three hours you can get just about anywhere in the whole state of CA, and there are a whole lot of great places to get to in this incredible state.

We are still trying to sell our house so send any potential buyers our way.

Katie is the cutest pregnant woman alive.. I love holding that basketball belly and feeling our little boy move all around. We can't wait to meet him.


Life is awesome. The Lord is all powerful and works in mysterious ways.



We have also loved boating in CA and will miss that a ton.. There are two things that Katie is dying to do once she has the baby. #1. Water-ski and #2. Eat Sushi.
This is the early morning run to the lake. We like to pull two a days every once in a while. Katie didn't want her hair to get wet that morning. "The shower-cap lasted about 20 seconds."

Year in Review!

Starting with April-June 2006, we traveled through Europe on a trip of a lifetime. We met many incredible people and saw some unbelievable sites. We spent 6 weeks visiting 17 different countries.

June 28, 2006 - We celebrated our 3rd anniversary by moving into our first home - 854 Old Prieur Lane!
November 2006 - Spent 10 days lounging on the beaches of Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii. Spencer also took 2nd place in the 28th annual Halloween Lanai Kareoke Costume Contest and racked up over $500 in prizes! He was the Pumpkin Lover singing Three Dog Nights "Joy to the World!"

December 6, 2006 - Surprise, we are having a baby!

March 2007 - Spent a week in Southern California

It has been hard to leave home, so we have probably spent about 2 months in Utah over the past year!

June 2007 - House up for sale, Spencer studying to take the GMAT, hoping to start graduate school in Fall 2007 at Thunderbird in Glendale, AZ.

Church: Spencer has taught early morning seminary the past two years to High School Juniors and Seniors, and Katie serves as second counselor in her ward Relief Society presidency.

Jobs: Spencer is a land developer in Central California. He has definitely bought and sold a lot of land in California.
Katie works for a plastic surgeon as the cosmetic consultant, and does a little bit of everything on the side including marketing, human resources, and insurance/billing.

Excited for the arrival in the next 6 weeks of our little guy!
