Best Day Ever!

WOW! What a day! 4/20/10.

4/20 has always been a special day in world history and mainly because of negative events such as the birth of Hitler, the Columbine Killings, and the fact that it is national smoke pot day.
However I consider this day one of the greatest days of each calendar year because the most incredible woman I have ever heard of was born on this infamous 4/20.

Man I love you hun. Thanks for being the best wife, mom and lover on the planet.

Happy Birth Day Katie

"LETTUCE" Entertain You!

So, being the activity chairs of the ward, we were informed in January, that the activities committee would also be known as the roadshow committee... yes, if you are wondering if roadshows still exist, the answer is YES in our stake, they most certainly do.

To be honest, I wasn't overly thrilled about the idea, but they assured me that there would be two directors called to really be in charge of the whole thing. We just had to help. So, somehow I got put in charge of choreography. Well, I know this probably sounds pretty funny for those of you who know me well, since you know that my dancing sense and style is very much lacking. So to be in charge of choreography was pretty funny.

I decided the best way to choreograph it would be to just jump in with both feet and be a part of the roadshow with all the ym/yw! Yes, true story, so myself and thankfully my friend Alyson decided to join in on the roadshow action.

It actually turned out to be very successful and very cute. It was a script about a bunch of veggies in a refrigerator. The people in my ward made the costumes and talk about talented, the costumes were off the hook. We performed two times this past week. Spence was the MC of the night both nights and did a great job entertaining everyone between numbers.

So here are a few fun pictures from the roadshow adventure...

Alyson and I in our lettuce costumes!

This is a pretty good picture of everyone, however the milk was 3 feet wide, so he is blocking a couple of the carrots and onions.

Yes, I am dancing with a tomatoe!

Each veggie had a dance and song they went to center stage to perform. We sang a song called "Lettuce Entertain You!"

And finally the entire cast!

FYI - the little kids in the front in black and white were the "furries" also knows as the mold, lOL!

Things that make me happy!

*Adam Lambert on AI last night. I am still disgusted by his performance at the AMA's last year, but I don't know what it is about him, I LOVED him last night on Idol. I kept wishing he could have performed all the songs last night with his energy, enthusiasm, and genius arrangements. I don't know about you, but Idol this year is SO BORING. It is definitely missing the Adam Lambert showmanship this year...

*Great friends, especially Ella who is so cute and sweet to Lance. This picture totally not posed. In that last month, I have also seen Ella spontaneously put her arm around Lance, hug him, and give him kisses!

*Spending time with my honey!

*Realizing that my husband and son are very similar in some ways...

*Tallie reaching 6 months, hurray! I LOVE this age, it is soooo fun!

We went in for her 6 month appointment and the doctor couldn't have said it better when he stated, "well, I think it's safe to say she is taking after her momma!"

Yes, my Tallie Tootles is only in the 10-20% for both height and weight! 14.9 lbs (12%) and 25 inches (22%). Lance at 6 months weighed 16.11 lbs, so I was pretty shocked at how much smaller and more petite Tallie is. But she sure is a doll!

She LOVES her baby food!

And mommy LOVES dressing her up all cute!

She is also learning to sit up on her own... (she has a ways to go, but is getting the feel of it)

...unfortunately this is how she usually ends up!

*Loving this bubble machine. Seriously, one of the best spent $20 in a long time!

*Finishing and hanging up new projects!

*Our new tramp and Lance wanting to jump on it all day long!

*Planting my garden! Got the onions and the lettuce planted, so we'll see how those do!

Skiing with my babe! Big fan of Spencer's work doing the advertising for Deer Valley! I also got to go skiing with my dad last Wednesday. It was so fun. Tons of snow, and more importantly, tons of sun!!!

*Out with the old, and in with the new... a new do, that is!

I cut off 11 inches, and I am LOVIN' it! It just feels refreshing and it is still long enough to put in a pony tail, so it is just perfect. These aren't the best pictures, but you get the point.

And finally I LOVE LOVE LOVE the SUNSHINE we have been having. I think every day is better with a little sunshine, so here's hoping that no more snow falls this Spring and we have nicer weather and tons of sunshine from her on out!

Big fan of these arriving in the mail today!

Now we just need to think of a fun place to go...

The Tootles Outfit!

Here is a better angle of the Tootles outfit. It was too cute! A tulle skirt with this separate tulle bussle sticking out the back, and then that HUGE flower on her shirt. Seriously, so cute!

ThE WeDdInG oF tHe YeAr!!!

What can I say, my mother in law is a visionary woman! She put on such an awesome wedding for my sister in law Abi last night. It was up at Tracy Wigwam and minus the weather and the horrendous parking lot, it turned out amazing.

Jane transformed the lodge into the party planet! It was so beautiful with branches hanging from the ceiling with votive candles hanging off of them and 8 little food stations with incredible food and a happenin dance floor!

Here are some pictures from the night...

View from the top - you can get an idea of the hanging branches, the room and the food stations.

Lance and his cousins waving their little pom pom type things!

There were masks and party hats for the guests to wear!

Speen and I partying it up!

Ok, many of my friends already know that the bridesmaid outfits were going to be outrageous! They kind of went for the Mary Antoinette Carnival type of feel. So in the next several pictures, I present you with the crazy, funky, and fun bridesmaids!!!

(here we are singing a song to Abi & Ammon)

Me and the Tootles! Ok, seriously her outfit was SO CUTE! She had this tulle skirt and a little tulle bussle on the back, too cute! When we get the pictures back from the photographer I'll have to show some more detailed pictures!

More pictures of the bridesmaids!

Isn't Abi the most beautiful bride?

And here are some Taggart Family pictures! Seriously, it is hard to get a good family picture with all those kiddos! Hopefully the photographer scored a good one!
