Utah - Here Lance and Mommy come!

Lance and I arrived in Utah on Thursday, August 9, 2007. I was super nervous to fly with him, and just had no clue what to expect. Well, I should have suspected it would go great, I mean Lance is the super champ! I was super worried about his ears hurting during take off and landing, but he didn't even bat an eyelid! He slept through the whole flight - even the last 20 minutes when we had horrendous turbulence. Thanks for being so awesome my little buddy! Here are some pictures of people Lance has seen since we have been in Utah.

My friend Rebekah Steenblik Beck and I have been great friends since our elementrary school days. How exciting that we both had little boys this summer. Her baby, Kameron Chase Beck was born on May 12th, so him and Lance are just 2 months apart. When I saw him the end of May, he was just two weeks old, can you imagine my surprise seeing him yesterday! It is amazing how much they grow in just a couple of months!

Here is Kameron (3 months) and Lance (1 month) - they are going to be great buddies!

Here is Lance with Grandma Driggs. I don't know anyone (well it is a tie between Bella and Helen) who loves babies as much as Helen. Isn't this picture just precious! Lance loves his Grandma Helen!

Ok - Bella is just the cutest thing alive! She is Spencer's 7 year old cousin, and she LOVES babies. I took her over to show the fam little Lance yesterday and I couldn't get over how cute and excited she was about Lance. She held him and loved him and even wanted to go with him when we left. When Spence and I move back to Utah, we get dibbs on Bella as Lance's permanent babysitter!

Lance with Devin and Naomi- thanks for coming to visit guys! Devin and Naomi were our good friends down in Fresno. They just moved to Provo cause Devin is going to BYU Law School. We were so sad that they were going to move before Lance was born, but to everyone's surprise Lance came so early, they were able to meet him in Fresno, and then see him again this past weekend!

Lance and I went straight from the airport to see "Great Nana!" My Nana has been such a light in my life growing up. I love her so much. She is 87, and recently broke her neck and has not been doing too well. She has been so excited to see little Lance - isn't this picture just so precious. I love you Nana - thanks for being such a shining example to me.

Here is Lance with Jo-Jo and uncle Jonathan! My brother is in Law school back in Vermont. He has been living in Midway this summer and has been working up in Heber. He leaves to go back tomorrow. We were so happy that he got to see little Lance before he went back to school.

Lance with Grandma and Grandpa Driggs. We love you guys!

Lance with Grandma Thorne! Love you Grandma!

Lance with mommy's friends - Amy, Natalie, and Linsay! Lindsay's baby Finley is 8 months older than Lance - look, she is already coming on to him! I think they would be such a cute couple! :)

Thanks to everyone for coming and seeing our cute Lance. He loves you all!!!

From Hot to Hotter!!!

Last Thursday, August 9, 2007- Spence, Lance, and I said goodbye to Fresno, CA! We loaded up the largest moving van Penske had to offer and headed out to Glendale, AZ ... well, sort of...Spencer definitely spoiled me... He and his darling mother Jane drove the moving van down to Glendale and unloaded all of our boxes, while Lance and I lucked out - taking a short 80 minute flight to Utah, where we are going to visit with family and friends this week, while Spence unpacks, and starts his boot camp classes at Thunderbird. Thank you so much Jane for going with Spence - you are amazing, and thank you Speenie for letting me skip out on the whole moving thing! What a sweetheart. These are a few pics our last few days in Fresno, CA!

Spending time and playing Bacce Ball with Spencer's family at the park!

We had a plethora of guys from the ward come over and help us move. Here they are strategizing of how to fit everything into the moving van - yeah, well it didn't work too well. They packed the moving van from floor to ceiling, and we still didn't have enough room for all of our "stuff" - we ended up giving away some chairs, bike, our TV, and more. How obnoxious - we didn't even take our washer, dryer, and fridge! Thanks guys for all of your help!

Sophie came over and helped us move! Isn't she the cutest thing. She was the official Lance watcher! Thanks darling Sophie for all of your help!

Here is our little family with our fav friends down in Fresno - Emili Smith and Reyeta Lawson - thanks for taking me to the airport and we love you guys - come visit us down in the Valley of the Sun!

Goodbye Fresno!!!

Things we will miss about Fresno:

Lawson and Smith Fam's - and extended fam's - you guys are amazing and really made our experience in Fresno comfortable. Thanks for your love and kindness. You were like a second fam to Spence and I! We love you guys!

Living close to Spence's family and sister and brother - in - law - we love you guys, and have so many fun memories.

Kristy and Travis - we love you guys - Kristy, I will always be grateful to you for the past 5 months - what divine inspiration. I loved working with you and will miss everyone at RHC.

Our wards, callings, and Speen's seminary assignment - they are amazing and we met some incredible people.

Devin and Naomi! - Devin and Spencer's GMAT study nights and Naomi and I hanging out every night! Good times!

Although California is basically a rip-off state (it is so unbelievably expensive in every way!) - it was really fun to live right in the Central Valley and basically be three hours away from anywhere - we were able to travel all over the state and saw a ton of amazing things.

Our house - although it will probably be by far the worst investment we have EVER made, we will still miss our first house - and by the way, we did hopefully sell it - it is in escrow, so cross your fingers it closes! :)

The delicious central valley fresh fruit - yummy!

24 night with our neighbors

The amazing doctors I had - my OBGYN and Lance's pediatrician - great guys.

Being so close to the Lake and being able to do two a days with the boat once in a while

Spence's business experience - it wasn't all a positive experience, but he learned so much down in Fresno that will help him the rest of his life!

I am sure I am forgetting many things, but here are just a few of the things we will miss about good ole Fresno, CA!

Our Big Little Guy!

Lance went to Dr. Jones last week to get circumcised (ouch!) and for his one month appointment! He is such a champ. He was up to 6 lbs 15 ounces and was 20 inches long! He is such a big little guy... if that makes sense! He is just the cutest thing in the world!
