So Lance is 8 months, and has absolutely no interest in crawling. I know - everyone asks why do I care? And be careful what I wish for because once he starts moving it is so much harder. Well, it's true, I want him to crawl. He always kicks his legs like crazy, that I think he would just LOVE it! I think it would be so fun for him. So, this picture shows me trying to bribe Lance into crawling. Once he spotted his binky he kept scooting his butt in the air, trying to get it. I wonder what would happen if I dangled like 10 binkies!?!

We love this hiking park right by our house - here is Spence teaching Lance that sometime you just need to take time to smell the roses in life!

Me at the top of the mountain!

Sometime's Lance makes this funny face, and I think it is hilarious! I am so happy I captured it on film.

Here is what our little guy is like MOST of the time. Now I emphasize most of the time, because around people he doesn't know, he won't crack a smile. Nope - we got pictures done the other day by my friend Joy and yeah - for a whole hour we tried to get him to smile - Picture this: Spence and I blowing bubbles, peek a boo, singing every song we know from wheels on the bus to popcorn popping, dangling toys, etc etc etc for 1 hour - and he wouldn't crack a single smile, nope not one! Then as soon as Joy left, he started laughing, what a little pill. Oh well, I am sure we caught some cute serious ones!

So, I am thinking of coming down to Phoenix over Memorial Day. Are you guys going to be in town?

Hang in there, he will crawl soon enough. I didn't really do anything special to get Aaron to crawl. He just has to touch everything he sees. It is fun that he is crawling. I am amazed everyday at how good he is getting. Just today I left the room to answer the phone and he was crawling right after me. I was so impressed. Just give Lance plenty of tummy time each day and eventually he will figure it out. :)

Oh my gosh I just love your pictures!!! He is so dang cute! It is fun because I always see kinda how Maddie will be :) :)
I can say that Maddie is in the same boat and she really just like to lay there and look at everything. She really likes to stand though and starts walking if we hold her up to do so. She love that jumpy thing too!!! You are the cutest mom though and he is such a lucky guy!!

Those pic of Lance are so funny and cute, i love when babies make such hilarious faces! I am so jealous that you get to hiking so much and that the mountains are so close to you, fun! Lance will probably start crawling any day, just keep up what you are doing. Ander just did the army crawl forever, it was funny.

I just went through the pictures tonight to get ready to edit them, and I am giggling at how serious he was! Maybe it was just me. :) There are some darling ones in there, though, I can't wait to get started on them!!

Cute pics! I love the funny face one! That is hilarious. I know how you feel about the crawling thing. With the first one every little milestone is so exciting. But it is true once he starts crawling you will be a crazy woman! Especially at church. Then you start counting the months until they get into nursery. Carter is at that crazy stage. Only three more months!

The funny face is awesome! About the Lab, we had to get rid of her because she shed way too much and it didn't fit with Mr. Clean (Whitey).

He is such a cute kid. I just barely started Eat, Pray, Love but so far I think her reality is quite different than most peoples. It looks to be an interesting book though. You'll have to let me know what you think when you finish.

Lance looks like he has the cutest little personality! Hmmm...I wonder where he got it. One of my little cousins started walking at about 19 months. She would scootch around on her bum and could really get moving, it was hilarious, but skipped the whole crawling thing altogether. Lance is probably just so happy and content he doesn't see the need to crawl. When he feels the need, he'll do it! You asked about Annie...her and Aly have been leaving together in Provo (Annie's getting her master's). So she didn't marry that guy she was with for a while, but has been dating this new guy for like almost a year now. I'm pretty sure they're close to being engaged. Tell Spence thanks again for being my grandpa's #1 fan (I noticed his fav book list)!
