So with the birth of Tallie, we kind of forgot about our garden until my dad went and looked at it and came inside and said that we had a bunch of tomatoes in our garden still. We had no idea how it avoided getting frozen, but nonetheless, our tomatoes were still thriving!
Because we knew the storm was on it's way in, we decided to pick all of of our tomatoes and hope they ripen off the vine.
Here is the end product!!! Can you believe it? We still have two boxes of tomatoes and it is almost November! Anyone want any tomatoes, just let me know, I think we can spare a few...
This is not even including the huge bag of tomatoes we gave our neighbors!
I am thinking next year, we may plant some other things besides 16 tomato plants!
A glimpse into the life of Spencer & Katie Taggart and their three musketeers!

Super Random Post!
Where to begin?
Spencer's super talented cousin Lindsay took some fantastic pictures of Tallie this past week! Here are a few of the beauties she did...
Here are my two pumpkins!
(Lindsay took this picture as well)
Lance and I made sugar cookies the week Tallie was born. I think this picture is so cute!
Gearing up for Halloween! Speen took the little Lion to our neighborhood Halloween party tonight.
Our neighbor gave Tallie this adorable outfit. I mean how cute is this? A little fleece vest and all!
I promise she's a girl! Gotta love all the blue though... I just need to invest in some blue bows and we are good to go.
Ok - Time for some random thoughts...
Spence went to work on Monday morning and didn't go to sleep until 11:30 pm on Tuesday night. They were working on a crazy project for a client at work. Here is Spence trying to get to sleep, but his phone kept ringing off the hook!
So, with Spence working such crazy hours, my first random thought is that I have a LOT of respect to the amazing woman who have husbands who are in medical school or who are doctors. It was hard for me to have him gone so much, and it was only for like a week. I am sure the new baby contributed to the fact that it was hard, but really I don't think I could handle long crazy hours like that every week. So, props to those spouses!
Secondly, I got my bill this week for my epidural. It was $837 plus $203 for the 'epidural tray.' This is before my insurance kicks in, however, it made me think, dang - maybe I should have pushed through the pain for 45 minutes and saved myself $1,000! I mean, really - I did dilate to a 7 with no pain, it probably wouldn't have been that hard. Oh well, I know for next time!
I have no idea how people have more than one kid living away from their families. I know it has only been two weeks, but wow, I have no idea what I would do with out my amazing parents and all of their help. My mom has had Lance sleep over at her house at least 1-2 times a week, so I could catch up on sleep and they both have just been more incredible than I could even imagine. I am super lucky to have such awesome parents.
I got my hair highlighted and cut today. It had been 10 months! I know - that is some sort of world record for me. I was so proud of the fact that I went so long, that I almost canceled and considered going back to my natural color. In the end, my vain-ness won out, and I got it done. But, I love it, so I am happy.
And finally TaLlIe!
I took her into the doctor today for her two week appointment. It was a hard week. First off, last Monday I accidentally ripped off her ambilical chord - yes, she was only 5 days old. I felt awful. It started bleeding. Luckily, it did not get infected and when he checked it today, he said it looked great, phew!
Secondly, every time we lay her down she makes these gasping/gagging/gulping sounds. It was so stressful. We found out she does have acid reflux, and we just have to make sure we prop her up until she gets over it. Definitely doable!
And now the good news, she is growing great. In the last 10 days, she has gained 12 oz (thanks to my milk factory!) so she is now 6 lbs 9 oz, and 20 inches long! Yeah, she has grown 1.5 inches since birth... NOT! I am sure they measured her wrong when she was born, but YAY that she is doing great.
Ok, and that's a wrap!!!

The Little Princess!
So I realized I haven't posted many pictures of the little princess... so here are some pictures of our Tallie!
Wow, two kids is crazy!
Daddy's Girl!
Both my kids have the exact same cheeks and pointed chin. You can even tell in this picture of them!

My GoOsE!
It's only been a week, but the hardest thing about having two kids is not being able to give Lance 100% of my attention. Yesterday I took the goose to Wheeler Farm for some one on one time. Probably not the smartest thing, cause I was so sore that night, but definitely worth it to spend time with Lance.
"Two thumbs up!" - That is what Lance thought of spending the day with mommy!
Last Saturday Spence took Lance on a hike up in the beautiful mountains.
We LOVE the goose!

ThE DeTaILs!
Where to begin?
For starters I LOVE my doctor, and really wanted him to deliver me. Well, unfortunately he had two trips planned and was only going to be home really for three days between my 37 and 38 week. Considering the fact the he told me the middle of my 35th week, it looked like I could deliver any day, I was thinking he probably wouldn't be there to deliver me.
He was leaving Thursday morning at 7am, so that gave me Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to get things moving!
What did I do on Monday?
*Canned applesauce *Made and frosted a million sugar cookies *Picked Pumpkins *Went speed walking for 2 hours! *Delivered cookies to neighbors.
Tuesday:
*Grocery store shopping *Made tons more cookies *Went shopping for "ghost supplies" *Prepared neighbor "ghost" baskets *Made a kick A dinner *Frosted a million more cookies *Went and delivered all the cookies
*-*-* Needless to say going into my appointment Wednesday morning, I had stayed extremely busy!
Well, Wednesday morning, I get checked and my doctor says I am dialated to a 3 and 100% thinned, and the baby is coming that night. He said I would probably start to feel contractions anytime, and at the start of my first contraction, come into the hospital because he thinks that once I start, I will go very quickly.
I am kind of freaking out that I haven't had any contractions, so I went home and did the following:
*Ran on the treadmill at a 15% incline
*Went to lunch with a friend
*Came home and worked out on the eliptical at level 15 hoping to at least get 1 contraction...
Remember folks, my doc leaves at 7am the next morning, I am on a tight timeline here!
Well 3:30 rolls around, and no contractions. I feel great! My doc calls and asks if I have had any contractions, I say no, they tell me to come in anyway and get checked again. So I go in, and what the heck, I am dialated to a 5, and still haven't felt one contraction! He said he had a feeling that I may be one of those rare people that dialate with out contractions... I know, lucky me!
So, I go down and get admitted. Get an epidural. I know, why get one, when I am not even in any pain, but heck I didn't want the pain to start. Doc comes in and breaks my water, and I am already dialated to a 7 (still haven't felt a contraction). About an hour or so later, he comes in - I am at a 10, literally one push, and she is out.
I was really really blessed with a super easy labor and delivery. The only problem is that because I pushed her out so fast, she didn't have time to clear out her lungs of amniotic fluid in the birthing canal, and so they had to watch her breathing for a little while, and she threw up and spit up a ton yesterday (they said she is clearing the gunk out of her stomach), but thankfully she is doing way better today.
Name? Spence and I are really bad at deciding names. In fact, one of our nurses at the hospital was such a nag, every time she came to the room she was like "have you chosen a name yet? It is so important to get a name soon! You want a strong name. You don't want a name that spells out bad words... blah blah blah," it was so annoying. Anyway, we finally decided on...
TALLIE JO TAGGART
So, here are some pictures of our little Tallie...
Right after birth!
Daddy and Tallie bonding
Yay - My doctor was able to deliver me, and still had 12 hours to spare before his flight!!!
The cheering section!
Eyes open! Yes, she is a clone of Lance.
First visitor (minus fam) was my friend Sar. She has been the sweetest thing to me this pregnancy. She came and brought me a million bows and headbands, and seriously they are the cutest things in the world. Luckily she gave me 9 headbands, so she can actually wear the clips before she turns 2 and grows some hair! Check out her business at:

Leaving the Hospital. Welcome to the real world Tallie!
And finally, first time meeting big brother Lance! As Murphy's Law would have it, Lance got a runny nose the day before she was born, so unfortunately we didn't bring him to the hospital, but luckily he had cleared up by the time we got home.
Lance absolutely LOVED her. It was so cute. He kept saying "Baby, open your eyes!!!" It was so funny.
Family of Four - wow, that's nuts!

Getting into the Season!
We went to Gardner Village on Friday to see the Witches. It was SUPER crowded, but still fun. The witches they have out there are incredible.
A favorite of the day: Throwing Hay!
Eating BIG cookies!
Attempting to get a picture of all the cousins!
The three amigos!
I also was filling pretty motivated, so I did something I haven't done in a while, I decided to get all crafty and make a Halloween tree. Thanks Linds for the darling idea. I think it turned out pretty cute and festive!
And I just wanted to throw these pictures in for fun. I love Lance's new PJ's, they are so cute!
I love what a cute dad Speen is. He is so energetic with Lance. There is also a small sneak peak of Baby Sis's room in the background!

We went up the canyon the other night to take some pictures with the fall leaves. So we went a little overboard on the pictures, but I just think they turned out so cute!
