The contest started over a month ago with 36 entries. Phase 1 consisted of a one page explanation of your business plan. He sailed through that round along with 9 others. Phase 2 was a lot more tricky - it was a 30 page business plan with financial statements, profit projections, market research, etc. Last Friday night we found out he made it to the final round where you present to a panel of successful business executives, CEO's, and investors.
There were 5 other groups and they all did a great job, but Spence nailed it! He was fantastic. I am soooooooo proud of him. I love that whenever he puts his mind to something, he succeeds. He is so talented - what a guy. And a side note - we are a big fan of the monetary prize as well! LOL.
FYI - All the other groups wore business suits, but Spence took a risk and dressed like a farmer to create the setting of his business plan - the judges loved it!

How exciting!! That is great that he succeeds in everything he does. I feel that way about Nick. Definatly an attractive quality!! And yes, I think Charlotte did take Lindi's lead when she cut her hair. (I was secretly mad at both of them for a couple of days!!)
Great job Spence! That is awesome. Gotta love prizes that involve money! Kates, we get to Utah May 10th but we going to be in St. George from the 10-16th and then on the 17th we leave for Mexico for a week. After that we will be in UT indefinitely. We are just going to play it by ear this summer and head back home when the kids have had enough. Hope we can see you guys!!
