Wonderful Weekend!

We had some of Spence's family come visit us this past weekend:

Mom "mimi," 3 sisters: Kelli, Emily (11), Sophie (4).
Kelli's 3 kids: Lindi (3), Trey (2), and Allie (6 months)

They all stayed at our apartment so you can imagine it was CRAZY and CHAOTIC, but a TON OF FUN!!! The kids were all amazingly well behaved and so gentle and sweet to Lance. It completely exceeded my expectations. Thanks for coming guys! We love you!

This is Lance and Allie. (3 months apart) It is so fun to have a baby the same age as Spence's sister Kelli. We got married about 9 months apart and she already has 3 kiddos, so I know that she was happy we finally had a baby with her the third time round!

Here is the "Alster" is she adorable, or what?!?

Ok, I have to give a little shout out to Emily (11) - she is AMAZING! The whole weekend she did nothing but serve everyone else. She cooked the meals (what - at 11 she was out grilling the meat, sauteeing the veggies, unbelieveable), changed the diapers, played with the babies, and what - NEVER COMPLAINED. She is such an incredible girl. We love you Emily and are so happy she came. She didn't decide to come until 6am the day they were leaving. We are so happy she did.

We went to a Thunderbird Regional Night Friday night. They celebrated Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. We ate awesome food, there were spectacular 'beach theme' decorations and the entertainment was the best yet (of course it was - Spence's band "global sounds" played a slew of fun songs). This is Spence and his darling sista Kelli!
Here is Spence singing in all his glory and his hot orange capris! Gotta love Speenie! The funnest part of the night was that it was Sophie's 4th b-day. We told her the regional night was her gigantic b-day party! So, Spence's band and everyone sang to her. She is on the right. How cute is she - wearing her Sunday best!?!

Here is the gang pigging out on food. It was super yummy!

I love these two girls - Lindi and Sophie - 3 weeks apart. Lindi is Sophie's niece. Yep, Spence has a sister and niece who are three weeks apart. It makes it so much fun!

Gotta love Lance! He had so much fun this night!

Here is Mimi with the kiddos. Lance and Allie sat on Mim's lap the WHOLE hour and a half that Spence's band sang. Neither one of them cried or fussed ONE time. They are both such good kids. They LOVED the music! Maybe we have another future musician on our hands? Big fan of that!

In case you are wondering - here are the songs Spence sang at the Regional Night. I will try to post some clips if I can figure out how to do that.

ACDC "All Night Long" * Scorpions "Rock you like a hurricane" * Bon Jovi "Livin on a Prayer" * Michael Jackson "Billie Jean" * "La Bamba" * "500 Miles"... Everyone liked their band so much, they have asked them to play at the graduation gala at the Four Seasons Hotel - Kudos Global Sounds!

Ok - I guess that is a long enough post for now!

That is great that you were able to have so much fun with family. Very cute pics! It is so nice to have cousins close in age. Lance is such a cutie and he is still such a little guy, that must be nice for your back. :)

You must be the hostess with the mostest if you were able to handle such a group! It looks like you all had such a great time. It is a lot of fun to have so many people wanting to come and visit you-one of the benefits of living out of state! Did I mention how cute little Lance is in every one of these pictures?!
